I used to be great at journaling. When I was in the first grade my uncle gave me a journal and up until just a few years ago I was very diligent in keeping a record of the going ons on my life. I have been inspired to take it up again but in this case with a digital version. And in for tradition's sake I am "giving" this blog as a gift to my cute husband Erik to celebrate our first year of marriage. The traditional first year anniversary gift is paper. And I am taking a modern approach on this symbol and giving him a paperless journal.
My parents were married 5 years before they had me and Erik's parents were married for 8 years before they had their oldest son Johnny. What did they do during those years? I seem to ask myself that question a lot. They must have done fun things. I am sure. And that is why I want to keep this record so our future kids or whatevers can look back and see. How fun will that be? Maybe they will care maybe they won't.
Erik and I have been married for almost a year. What say what? Where did they time fly? And once again what did we even do this past year? The answer is a lot. I feel like we had a very good fulfilling and busy year. And we loved it. Yes of course there are things I wish I would have done more of but for the most part it was pretty great.
